Kate Middleton has the gift of being comfortable with the little ones. After congratulating a baby who had just burped a few days ago, Prince William's wife had an equally spontaneous reaction to young children, during a visit to the Young V&A Museum in London (a branch of the famous Victoria and Albert Museum, formerly known as the Children's Museum), which has just been renovated. The Princess of Wales met with a group of students from Globe Primary School in Bethnal Green who greeted her with hugs and questions. Asked about her age, George, Louis, and Charlotte's mother reacted with humor: "I'm 41 years old. Be quiet... Don't tell anyone," she whispered with a mischievous smile, according to the Daily Mail. No false modesty, the princess was mainly referring to the fact that she was not the main target of this museum dedicated to childhood.

"Barbiecore" look
During this visit, Kate Middleton, who became the first royal patron of the V&A Museum in 2018, discovered the three new galleries, each aimed at specific age groups. To honor this regressive theme, the future queen consort gave in to the retro "Barbiecore" trend, choosing to wear a candy pink dress by Beulah London. She had already worn the same outfit during the final of the Wimbledon tournament in July 2021.
